Christine Cain, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was inspired by some of the most influential historical architecture and interiors in the deep south. Upon receiving her degree in Interior Design at Louisiana State University, she pursued her profession in New York City.

Christine began her interior design career, in 1988, at Mary Bijur Design. Two years later, she became an associate at Michael LaRocca, Ltd. During this time, Ms. Cain worked on projects throughout New York, Martha’s Vineyard, and Chicago.

Christine Cain joined the renowned firm of Jed Johnson Associates in 1993. Working with Mr. Johnson, she developed her classic understated style, honed her skills and had an opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and significant projects during that time. Throughout her sixteen year tenure at Jed Johnson Associates, Ms Cain became one of the most sought after designers at the firm. She went on to partner and collaboratively design the Jed Johnson Home fabric and furniture line.

“I think of my work as eclectic and not of a single vernacular. I’m collaborative by nature and approach each new commission from a fresh perspective. Every project we do is uniquely individual and always done with great attention to the principles of quality, thoughtfulness, and craftsmanship. Our client’s interests are always paramount and provide the basis for the design direction.”
